This about the time we need to get our bird netting out and put on our vines all the birds wild and domestic all know just when the grapes are ripe our fowl looks like jumping jacks as they launch up and down to eat grapes even the mother turkeys pick grapes and feed to the chicks the sad thing is...

We had a hatching of hiertage turkey chicks , we let them hatch in the wilds of the farm where ever mama makes a nest and then we carefully take them away into the safety of a brooder until they get some feathers. If we let mama take them they tend to roam the whole farm and the little ones cannot...

Just made a organic pastured farm turkey the juices are running all over it we used our farm fresh herbs. My mom taught me to roast a turkey in a paper bag to get it perfectly browned must have been a family tradition all I know is it works no foil the brown just leave it alone....
