It’s like Christmas , we planted our seedlings last Sunday and we already have life. Genovese basil, and Tim’s black ruffles tomato plants are the first to germinate and happen to be some of our farm favorites....

It is so much fun starting seedlings in our farm garage and watching them grow into healthy plants. We start with our farm grown compost and mix our worm castings we grow on our farm. The most fun is studying hierloom seed catalogs months ago seeking out the rarest most interesting seeds.

We collected the pine needles today and put in a pile to compost. We use them for our vineyard and hierloom tomato gardens as they need acid and our soil lacks acid....
