"Welcome to Our Farm"

Welcome to our desert oasis. Located 60 miles West of Las Vegas, between Las Vegas and Death Valley. Our goal is to strive to become as self sustainable as possible and being good stewards of our land and animals.
The main goal and focus is in raising animals humanely and providing them the best possible environment in which to grow. This environment must include full access to grass pastures.  Our beliefs is what guided us on our path to becoming the only “animal  welfare approved” farm for our fresh pastured organic eggs, chickens, and geese.
All farm activities are performed with organic and or bio-dynamic growing methods and principles.

Heirloom tomatoes

This was one of the poor tomatoes that got frost damage and they all have bounced back. Our black tomatoes are doing the best so far , Black from Tula, Black Prince, Japanese black truffles, and chocolate stripes....

Transplants are finally done

We got all the transplants planted and we ended up with 38 heirloom tomato plants and four eggplants and many peppers and it’s time to let them rip and see what we end up with in about 90 days. We start the seedling in mid February and transplant mid April and takes until July to harvest....

Heirloom tomato plants

Our heirloom tomato garden is taking off some of the first are black prince, Japanese black trifle, chocolate stripes, and pork chop the first three are black tomatoes and pork chop is golden all with spectacular flavors from spicy to citrus all with rich fruity flavors....

Another fun farm day

We had a great day on the farm cooking preserving we made turkey drumstick soup as well as spicy green bean soup. We even used our heirloom onion scapes in the turkey drum stick soup.I need my cousin Trixie Davis to help me can as I am not that good at it and I am running out of freezer room ....

Spicy green bean soup

As we both grew up born and raised San Fransico Bay Area we loved amarals meat linguicia and we so miss it so we ordered a bunch and today we made green bean soup using our canned heirloom sauce our heirloom onions and amarals churico spicy sausage ....
