Preserving our farm goods

It’s funny as I love to cook and I go on marathon preserving days . We are born and raised Californians and fresh food was all we wanted , well growing your own food and trying to preserve is a whole other thing.we never used canned goods and it took me years to do it but the simple fact is produce grows in seasons . We reap the rewards of hours of planting , growing and cooking onions from a village in Zimbabwe who has saved the seeds for over 100 years and cooking the onions for ten hours and then canning for hours to using our chicken foot stock that took hours as well and then the best ever french onion soup that you cannot buy takes us ten minutes that’s when we can say ah ha.
