Mohave green rattle snake

We got a wake up call Wednesday morning as I casually walked into the garage in the dark with our dogs and as I slipped on my Birkenstock sandal it was tight and squishy as I flipped it off and stepped on again I realized the snake was rattling between my feet we get complacent here on the farm we realized again to be vigilant of all our surroundings and hope all of you do as well. We were lucky as none of us got bit.

I have a soar throat from screaming so hard which did nothing to help. It was weird felt like marshmallows in my shoe the snake had every reason to bite me but did not I think it was digesting food. Thank you and I love you
