It's that time of the year when we have to put bird netting up to protect the grapes. It's sad we have to hide all the Beauty of the vines but it's also nice to see the labor of many years begin to ripen and in a few weeks we will be harvesting our Zinfandel vineyards ....

Our vineyards are looking great we will have to cover them soon with bird netting. All the birds in the valley seem to know when the grapes are ripe....

This is our sixth year that we have been carefully growing our vineyards. Last year we had 900 pounds of fruit and this year should get at least 1200 we have grown our vines as slow as possible picking most of the fruit off over the years to let the root structure grow strong. This year it's going...

Our wine vineyards are in full budding stage and they are so beautiful we are greatful Bill Lochen from Pahrump valley winery showed us how to put our California trellis system at shoulder high so when we harvest we can stand up and not have to bend over....

Our vineyards are budding out its early but we think it's an early spring . We usually wait to plant out summer crops until after April 15 and when mesquite trees start getting leaves. There is nothing like planting our hierloom tomatoe plants and pepper plants and get a freeze it can be a complete...
