Bird netting complete
July 9, 2017
We have the Vineyards covered. The tweety birds let us know when it’s time to cover as they go for ripe fruit. The netting also bottons down the vines and they secure around the fruit to help shade and keep a little cooler. It’s not pretty but we only have to do this for 5-6 weeks a year. My farm dogs helped me save a tweety bird that got stuck under the nets the birds find the smallest holes to get under the nets but then seem like they cannot get out so our farm dogs along with us stroll the Vineyards and carefully trap the birds and release them.
