We took some time out to check the farm animals in the heat of the while the pressure cooker was processing the stock.Lewis our old boar required a cold shower and more water to wade in he certainly appreciates it with his ohh,ohh thank you he even rolls over so we can wet his under bellie....

Well we ended up with 12 quartz and five pints of Delois chicken stock . While doing the job one sometimes wonders is this really worth working all day on, and then when the job is complete you can sit back and say yes it certainly is worth all the work and to honor our farm animals life by using...

we got some zucchini, shishito peppers and some chives blossoms. We will use them for dinner tonight blistered shishito peppers , sauté zucchini, baked potatoes with chive blossoms, farm red wattle pork chops with farm herbs....

well it's that time of the year here on the farm when it is just to darn hot to work outside after 9 a.m.. We always have plenty of other chores and one of them is to make and can some of the most nutrious organic chicken foot stock which we use all through out the year. It was 115 degrees yesterday...
